Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, who arrived in Port Sudan with Sudanese Army Commander Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, is discussing ways to mediate the ongoing conflict between the army and the Rapid Support in the conflict that lasted for more than a year and led to the deaths of thousands and the displacement of millions.
Immediately after his departure from Addis Ababa, Ethiopian sources indicated that Abiy Ahmed intends to provide solutions on the ground after all regional and international attempts reached a dead end.
The Ethiopian Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation to hold discussions with their counterparts on the Sudanese side for the purpose of developing and promoting cooperation in various fields between Sudan and Ethiopia.
Al-Burhan welcomed the visit of the Ethiopian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation, stressing the depth of bilateral relations between Khartoum and Addis Ababa, noting the historical and cultural ties between the two peoples.
For his part, Abiy Ahmed expressed his happiness at visiting Sudan, indicating that his country takes into account its relationship with Sudan and the cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields.
The discussions between the two sides focused on the need to promote and develop joint cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
