Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, Ambassador Aziz Al-Dehani, said that our relations with Argentina have been historic since 1966, and we are proud of these relations.
Al-Daihani added, in a statement to reporters on the sidelines of the celebration held by the Argentine Embassy on the occasion of Independence Day, that there are many bilateral agreements, and there is investment movement between the two countries and we have activity for the Kuwaiti Fund.
She continues, "The Kuwaiti people do not forget the position of our friends with the Kuwaiti right during the occupation."
For her part, the Argentine ambassador to the country, Claudia Zampieri, said in a speech she delivered to the audience:
Today we gather to celebrate Argentina's Independence Day. Two hundred and eight years ago, on July 9, 1816, a group of visionary leaders gathered in Tucumán to declare Argentina's independence from Spanish colonial rule. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a new chapter in our nation's history, marked by self-determination, freedom, and the pursuit of a brighter future for all.
She added: Let us honor our traditional culture and music by performing tango by Maestros Aquistina and Lucio. However, before we begin, I would like to take this opportunity to bid you farewell.
She continued: As my term as Ambassador of Argentina to Kuwait ends after more than five unforgettable years, I am overwhelmed by a deep feeling of gratitude that words alone cannot fully convey, expressing my deep appreciation to each and every one for their unwavering support throughout this amazing journey.
I further thank the Kuwaiti authorities and the people of Kuwait for your hospitality, cooperation, and open communication. Your cooperation and receptivity have paved the way for meaningful dialogue and strengthened the bond between our two countries, making my diplomatic mission not only possible, but also extremely rewarding, and to my exceptional team, I am endlessly grateful.
We have achieved this with hard work and professionalism,” she said. Unity to achieve our common goals. Both parties’ commitment to excellence, creativity, and teamwork have been the cornerstone of our success, and I am truly proud of everything we have accomplished together.
She sent a message to her husband, saying: For my husband, your unwavering support, understanding, and encouragement have been my rock throughout this journey, and your patience has helped me with love and faith to overcome the challenges and joys of diplomatic life, and I am extremely grateful to have you by my side.
She added: As I bid farewell to this chapter of my life, I leave with a heart full of gratitude and a bag full of memories and deeply appreciative of the honor of serving as Ambassador to Kuwait and to my fellow citizens now.
