His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, may God protect and preserve him, received at Bayan Palace this morning the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, where he presented to His Highness the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Pilot Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad, on the occasion of his appointment to his new position.
An Amiri decree was issued appointing Major General Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army. The text of the decree is as follows:
“Decree No. (120) of 2024 appointing a Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army after reviewing the Constitution, and the Emiri Order issued on 2 Dhul-Qi’dah 1445 AH corresponding to May 10, 2024 AD, and Law No. 32 of 1967 regarding the Army and the laws amending it, and based on the proposal of the First Deputy To the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and after the approval of the Council of Ministers, we issued the following decree
-1- Major General Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah is appointed as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army.
- 2 - The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense must implement this decree, and it shall come into effect from the date of its issuance.
