The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a number of visit visa violators and their sponsors, and the necessary legal measures are being taken against them in preparation for their deportation from the country.
The ministry said in a press statement today, Monday, that with continuous follow-up by the General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations - Department of Violators Follow-up - a number of visa violators and their sponsors were arrested in implementation of the instructions and directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah to facilitate procedures related to visits while adhering to the conditions and controls, the most important of which is not violating the validity period of the visa and not exceeding the specified period of time to stay in the country according to the type of visit.
It explained in this regard that a resident of Arab nationality brought his wife and children under a family visit entry visa, but they disappeared after the legal visit period ended and remained in the country. It stated that the necessary legal measures are being taken against them in preparation for deporting them all from the country due to the sponsor's failure to abide by the pledge signed when requesting a family visit visa and violating the conditions despite the validity of his residency, and they will all be deported (husband, wife and children).
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that it will continue to take all necessary legal measures against those who do not abide by the law and that it will spare no effort in arresting and holding accountable violators, whether the sponsor or the sponsored, stressing that all visitors must adhere to the time limit specified for the visit and leave upon its expiry to avoid legal accountability.
