French star Kylian Mbappé signed his contract with Spanish club Real Madrid, yesterday, Tuesday.
Yesterday, Tuesday, Mbappe told Real Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, on the occasion of his official presentation as a player for the Royal Club, champion of the Champions League, “I will give my life to this club,” stressing once again that he is fulfilling his childhood “dream.”
“It is incredible to be here,” the 25-year-old said, speaking in fluent Spanish. “I have dreamed of playing for Real Madrid for years and today my dream has come true. I am a happy boy.”
Mbappe continued, saying, "I will give my life to this club and this slogan. I am proud to achieve my dream and become a player in the best club in the history of football."
Mbappe was presented in a legendary ceremony at the club’s stadium in the capital, Madrid, in the presence of the club’s former coach, Frenchman Zinedine Zidane.
Mbappe underwent a medical examination at Sanitas Lamor Alija University Hospital.
Real Madrid, champion of the Champions League and Spanish Football League, had previously announced that it would present Mbappe, today, Tuesday, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Club president Florentino Perez received the newcomer at the official signing ceremony, which will link Mbappe with the capital club for the next five seasons, according to Agence France-Presse.
Mbappe, who is 25 years old, announced his departure from the French club Paris Saint-Germain on the 10th of last May, after 7 years he spent defending its colors and succeeded in becoming the best scorer in its history, as he scored 256 goals in 308 matches in various competitions.
Mbappe also succeeded in winning all the local titles with Saint-Germain, but he failed to lead him to the Champions League crown, as he reached the final in 2020 before losing to Bayern Munich, Germany, with a goal for nothing.
