Ministry of Information: Youm Al Bahar Village, in its new look, will open its doors next October


أعلنت وزارة الإعلام اليوم الأحد أنها تعمل على وضع اللمسات الأخيرة لتجهيز كل المتطلبات لاستقبال زوار قرية يوم البحار بحلتها الجديدة استعدادا للموسم المقرر بداية أكتوبر المقبل.

The Ministry of Information announced on Sunday that it is working on putting the final touches to prepare all requirements to receive visitors to Youm Al Bahar Village in its new look in preparation for the season scheduled for the beginning of next October.


Ministry spokesman Badr Al-Enezi said in a press statement that the (Media), in line with the state’s directions and the ministry’s strategy, aims to develop (Yom Al-Bahar) village as a destination for family tourism and heritage lovers by providing a joyful family atmosphere amid the spirit and fragrance of authentic Kuwaiti heritage.

Al-Enezi pointed out that those in charge of the “Yom Al-Bahar” village are keen to introduce everything new that would attract visitors and provide them with the appropriate atmosphere.

He explained that, in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Information and Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, to implement the Ministry of Information’s strategy to enhance participation, cooperation was made with the Kuwait Oil Company to prepare the area for children’s games in the village, noting that a theater was created to commemorate various events and activities, and a renewed museum that includes Kuwaiti collectibles.

He indicated that there are special places for selling popular costumes and heritage collectibles in a form that combines the authenticity of the past with the spirit of the modern era, in addition to special areas for popular foods, as well as local and international cafes and restaurants.

Al-Enezi added that those in charge of the village are always keen on everything new every year in order to entertain and excite the village visitors, with continuous follow-up from the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Dr. Nasser Al-Muhaisen.
