French striker Kolo Mwani defended his teammate Kylian Mbappe, revealing the difficulties football players face when wearing medical masks while playing matches.
Sports reports discussed the impact of the mask that Mbappe wears on his performance, as it limits his vision, which made his scoring tally in the European Championship hosted by Germany a single goal.
Regarding the effect of the mask on performance on the field, Mwani said that he and his teammates in the national team tried the mask in training, adding: “You don’t really see anything... nothing.”
In a press conference at France's training base in Paderborn, Germany, Moani praised Mbappe's skills, adding that "there is still time for him to make a difference in Euro 2024."
He added: "He has the talent of leading the team and the group. He provides ideas and advice to the players," Fox Sports reported.
He continued, saying: "When he does not score, it is our responsibility to help him. The competition is not over yet. Aside from his small broken nose, he is physically fine."
