It seems that the deal to transfer Al-Ahly defender Mohamed Abdel-Moneim to Nice, France, has been completed after the two parties reached an agreement recently.
The French newspaper "L'Equipe" revealed that the two clubs reached a transfer deal worth 4 million euros on Thursday, in addition to a million bonus for Abdel-Moneim.
The two clubs reached a common ground regarding the method of paying the amount, so Nice blocked the way for Bologna, Italy, which wanted to include the player.
Abdel-Moneim's move to the French league is now a matter of time as he awaits the completion of the procedures for his travel in order to join Nice.
Local Egyptian media also revealed that Al-Ahly will receive 10 percent of the resale, in addition to transferring the value of the deal within a week.
Abdel-Moneim is 25 years old and is considered a mainstay in Al-Ahly's defense and the Egyptian national team, and he has distinguished himself with his influential goals with the Cairo giants, especially in the African Champions League.
