The Palestinian Authority rejected an Israeli proposal to open Rafah crossing conditionally, according to sources on Monday.
The source said that "Israel proposes opening Rafah crossing under the management of civilians not affiliated with the Palestinian security services."
The source added that the Israeli proposal prevents raising the Palestinian flag at Rafah crossing and on the border, adding that Israel insists on remaining in the vicinity of the crossing and the Philadelphi corridor and intervening to search and interrogate.
