The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef said that the academic program (Bachelor of Fire Engineering Technology) will raise the efficiency of the General Fire Force personnel in performing their work and keep pace with modern international academic programs specialized in this regard.
This came in a statement by Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, which he made on the sidelines of attending the signing of the strategic partnership cooperation agreement between the General Fire Force and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training to launch an academic program (Bachelor of Fire Engineering Technology).
Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef explained that members of the Fire Force will be able to benefit from this program through cooperation with the Applied, instead of sending them to the United States of America to study it in the past, expressing his pride, appreciation and appreciation for the role played by firefighters in serving the country.
For his part, the Chief of the General Fire Force, Major General Khaled Fahd, said that the agreement aims to enhance cooperation between government agencies, improve job performance and maintain the quality of education and the quality of educational outcomes for members of the General Fire Force.
Major General Fahd added that the students' studies will be in the College of Technological Studies affiliated with the Applied, due to the expertise and skills of its teaching staff members in various engineering and scientific fields.
He explained that the practical applications during the study period will be in the Training Department affiliated with the General Fire Force, noting that the Fire Engineering Technology specialization is considered one of the rare programs in the same field at the regional level.
He stressed that the desired objectives of the educational program are to keep pace with the latest developments of international organizations concerned with fire science and engineering and to develop the human element through studying a Bachelor's degree (Fire Engineering Technology) within the State of Kuwait in line with the strategic document of the General Fire Force.
In turn, the Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Dr. Hassan Al-Fajjam, confirmed the Authority's endeavor to build bridges of cooperation and joint integration with various government agencies by creating programs and specializations for high school graduates, which will be available in the future at the College of Technological Studies affiliated with the Authority.
Al-Fajjam expressed his thanks and appreciation for the cooperation and support provided by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah in making the agreement a success.
The signing of the agreement was witnessed by the Dean of the College of Technological Studies at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hayyan, and a number of officials from both parties.
