On the night of 8/2/1990, at dawn on Thursday, the peaceful and charitable Kuwaiti people woke up to a tragedy from the sound of explosions and Iraqi helicopters and the smoke rising from fires in public places inside Kuwait City, whether from the direction of Dasman Palace or the direction of the Jeon area.
The voice of Kuwaiti radio, which played a tremendous role in revealing the truth and conveying the voice of the people to the world, and its heroes are many, the most important of whom are Muhammad Al-Qahtani, Yousef Mustafa, Amer Al-Ajmi, Fareeh Al-Anzi, and Salwa Hussein. The people were in chaos and astonishment at the scenes from this neighbor, who did not think of any politician or analyst that the reward for kindness is treachery and betrayal and invading Kuwaiti lands. He turned the pearl of the Gulf into destruction and the shining light into complete darkness, as he killed young men, women, children, and the elderly, as well as torture, rape, and capture of many Kuwaiti people. Among the dirty deeds of this invader is taking the prisoner after torturing him and taking him to his home or the home of his family, as if he would be released, but out of their baseness and lack of honor, they shoot him in front of his family. This army and its regime do not have any kind of pride or honorable military principle, as they carry out acts of sabotage, looting, and robbery of shops and homes, stealing cars, and other acts that are shameful, but there are those who love Their homelands and do not know fear even if they lose their lives and stories of epic struggle and a tale of steadfastness express the strength of a nation over time and when you lose everything from homeland and security, you can only resist the invader and there are many heroic deeds carried out by the sons of my free country that have not been documented and we must shed light on them as a matter of pride and to enhance this national spirit for the generations that have not heard or lived through this stage, including Saad Sharar Al-Azmi, may God have mercy on him, nicknamed (Abu Al-Tafkhikh) and he had many positions during the Iraqi invasion and most of the bombings against the enemy are considered to be prepared and executed by him, including the bombing of the Hilton Hotel and the bombing of the Sulaibikhat Restaurant, which was attended by many leaders and high ranks and is considered a qualitative shift in this bombing with the help of Tariq Al-Ubaidli and Musaed Al-Hunaidi, and Muhammad Al-Fajji, the leader of the Kuwaiti resistance Abu Khalid and retired Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Dosari and Nahar Muhammad Al-Hajri. They carried out many operations, the most important of which was the arrest of two officers and it turned out that they were colonels in the Republican Guard affiliated with the Engineering Department responsible for bombing oil wells and obtaining important documents for Kuwait And the Gulf and there was for the invading system of the Gulf and the mining of wells and the occupation and delivered these documents to the Kuwaiti leadership in Taif Khalifa Al-Fulaij, and there are many men of the Kuwaiti resistance, some of whom I mentioned in my previous article and I cannot list them in an article, and among the martyrs, may God have mercy on them, Ahmed Qabazard, Asrar Al-Qabandi, Wafaa Al-Amer, Sarah Al-Otaibi, Samira Maarefi and many others who sacrificed their lives for Kuwait and its people, and I recall here the role of the people of positions, may God have mercy on him, Khaled Yousef Al-Marzouq, as he spent his money inside and outside Kuwait during the invasion and to support legitimacy in Kuwait with 100 million dinars and other houses and buildings outside the country, I remember the late businessman and writer Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain, this lover and loyal to his country, his Emir and the people of Kuwait, and he has many positions towards the country and a loyal man and he made his public diwan a headquarters for the late His Highness the Emir Jaber Al-Ahmad after the liberation and a starting point for forming the government after the brutal invasion, and he told me personally in a previous meeting that he made his diwan a starting point for the Kuwaiti resistance And the wireless devices above the Diwan to communicate with the late father Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah and the house of his brother Abdul Karim was transformed into a clinic to treat members of the resistance,
This is a little bit of the good record of Kuwaiti families who played heroic roles and the Al-Dubos family that existed and recruited some expatriates for the benefit of Kuwait and supported the Kuwaiti resistance with financial sums and there is an Iraqi document indicating that
Like the position of the former MP Sheikh Faisal Al-Duwaish in confronting the former Iraqi Minister of Information a few weeks before the Iraqi invasion at that time for his insolence towards Kuwait and its symbols. It was an unsurprising position from Al-Duwaish to deter the minister and defend his country in the presence of Mr. / Mishari Muhammad Al-Asimi, the former head of the Kuwaiti Lawyers Association and former member of the National Assembly, may God have mercy on him, as well as the former MP Ahmed Al-Shariaan and other Kuwaiti journalists and media professionals at that time
10/15/1990 The Kuwaiti people will not forget this date, which is the Jeddah Conference that showed the cohesion and solidarity of all the sons of the country from all its spectra and categories and the unity of the people of Kuwait Against this aggression and to clarify to the whole world that Kuwaitis put Kuwait represented by Sabah Kuwait and its interest in front of their eyes in all events and rally behind their wise leadership and confirm that the cohesion and solidarity of the people is the greatest protection after God for the freedom of the land and the homeland, and in conclusion I cannot but forget this historical era and the lessons that it has learned,
Here is a national poem that embodies the love of the homeland, the flag and the Emir
My hair flutters in the safe places
Flutters and with the shelf it is delivered
On a land with goodness and goodness meaning
The land of Sabah that has pride and value
Kuwait of luxury and professional ethics
Kuwait of culture and development with its understanding
Its peaks are built from above the galaxies
On the heart of the sky and until the clouds reach
His Highness the Emir Abu Talal, pure of intention
And Sabah, the Crown Prince, by destiny and character
Rational leadership and religious leaderships
And from the era of Abu Nasser with his wisdom and education
By the poet Fahid bin Muqhas
We do not want to dig up wounds, but rather it will be a lesson and knowledge for me personally and for the generations that did not go through this era and the Iraqi aggression
Living peoples are those who preserve their memory of their history
Peoples die if they lose their memory, and in conclusion I ask God to perpetuate security and safety for our beloved Kuwait and its noble and generous people and to protect it from all harm and to protect His Highness the Emir Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and I wish him continued health and wellness and a long life and his loyal Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah
